The GRO Overseas Index

A regular question we are asked at meetings, fairs and help desks is "How do you get a soldiers's wartime death certificate?" The answer is that you simply look them up in the GRO Overseas Index and place your order with Southport. EYFHS has a copy of the Overseas Index on microfiche and we will happily perform a lookup on your behalf. However, if you are in a hurry, ask at your local library or visit one of the many online web sites which now offer free access to the index.
