Logging On Problems

When you access the Internet, a number of files are saved onto your computer to improve viewing speeds. This applies equally with network, broadband and dial-up connections. These files are saved in series of temporary folders, known as a cache. Occasionally, these cache files may become corrupted, or out of date, and need cleaning up; but no one ever tells you these things do they!

Your computer will also store dozens, possibly hundreds, of so-called 'cookies' which have been left behind from the sites which you visit. Mostly, they are harmless and helpful but, just occassionally, they can also cause a few problems too. Members can learn more about these files elswhere on this web site.

Cookies & Cache files can also stop you logging on to certain secure web sites, such as the EYFHS Members Zone. The following instructions will help you to clean up your cache, cookies and your history files.
